As a general rule of thumb, the sooner the better. Why not book your maternity session shortly after you've told friends and family the exciting news! This will give us plenty of time to find a great day that works well for both of us. My biggest piece of advice is to wear something you feel both comfortable and beautiful in. My second piece of advice is for you to choose a top that is form-fitting enough to showcase your baby bump. Lastly, wear a supportive, well-fitting bra. Between us ladies, I know that breasts change a lot during pregnancy, so pick up a new bra that supports. There is a beautiful range of gowns that are available to use for your session. A suggestion is to bring two to three outfits for your maternity session is a good number to bring. I like to always have at least two for variety's sake, but whether you want to wear more than that is up to you. The ideal time to book your newborn session is while you are pregnant
. We can tentatively book your newborn session around your due date. Within the first couple days of your baby arriving, please let me know and we can book a date for your newborn session. For those beautiful sleepy curly poses the best time to capture your newborn photos is when they are 4-11 days old. Babies this age are more likely to be sleepy and curl just like they did when the were still in the womb. Older babies can be more alert and not want to pose as much as a younger baby will. Only one family is booked when I do a newborn experience (excludes mini sessions). Therefore I have plenty of time to cater for your session.
 Sessions are between 2-4 hours in length. This allows plenty of time to feed, comfort and change your baby as needed
, so relax & enjoy your newborn experience. Catering to your babies needs and striving to make sure that they are 110% safe and comfortable through out the session
. Being baby lead through out the whole session means that your baby will be well cared for. We have a beautiful & unique range of props, outfits & blankets for you to choose from. As telling a story is a big part of what we do its even more spacial when you bring in somethings special to include in the photos. this can be a baby blanket that you had when you where a baby or great grandmas teddy bear. Having your input as to what you like and don't like will ensure that we create stunning and masterful photos that you will proudly share and display with your family & friends.
 Through our design questionnaire this help to create that custom personalized experience for you. Its important to remember that not every baby can do every pose. While attempts are made please know that the safety of your baby is my number 1 priority. Of course they are with a full newborn session....you are celebrating a wonderfully amazing time, you have welcomed your new baby into the world. I encourage you to have family, parent & sibling photos done. Both sibling and family photos are done at the start of the session. This way its while they are fresh and interested in what is going on. While I endeavor to capture your children together please understand that not all children will play the game and have their photos taken. Some time we can do a composite shot, which is a number of different photos to produce one photo. This maybe be an option to achieve the sibling photo that you have be thinking about the whole way though your pregnancy. These sessions are normally done for the following ages - 4 months, 8-9 months when the are sitting interdependently & at 12 months. Well, each one is different but all are fun! So at 4 months old that is mostly showing how baby is smiling more, some are rolling and how cleaver they are holding up their heads. In this session its 3-4 outfit changes and maybe a prop or two. The sitter session (7-8 months) we celebrate how your baby has reached the milestone of sitting interdependently, playing with their feet and of course showing their personalities. In this session we include the use of props and outfit changes. The I am ONE session is 3 sessions in one, wow! So with this session its starts with some formal photos before your little one gets to play with the pasta. Yes its gets messy and its lots of fun!! This is our alternate to a cake smash (because everyone else dose them). The sessions are normally up to 40 mins depending on how your little one is on the day. The milestone sessions are just for your little one, however if you wish to do family photos as well you can purchase a mini family session and combined the two sessions. Pick a palette of 3-4 colors. Let this be your starting place. Think in terms of tones: blue tones, earth tones, neutrals, pastels, etc. Everyone in the family can express their own sense of style within the chosen color palette, and the whole group will coordinate beautifully. Coordinate, not match, when deciding what to wear for photos. I suggest to start with the youngest and pull colors from their outfit to dress and layer everyone else.
